Movie Name: Sikandar ka Muqaddar

Cast: Jimmy Shergill, Avinash Tiwary, Tamannaah Bhatia

Director: Neeraj Pandey

Genre: Suspense Thriller

Available on: Netflix

As a fan of Jimmy Shergill, his presence was my primary reason for watching this movie. While his performance did not disappoint, the overall experience fell short of expectations.

The film attempts to intrigue the audience by seamlessly transitioning between past and present, building suspense around a mysterious heist. Initially, this storytelling approach is engaging, but as time progresses, the focus shifts too much to build up, leaving the audience eagerly waiting for answers about the heist itself.

At one point, much like IO Jaswinder, viewers feel they’ve pieced together parts of the puzzle but are left scratching their heads over how it all came together. The acting, particularly by Jimmy Shergill and Avinash Tiwary, is commendable and keeps the narrative afloat. Divya Dutta’s brief cameo is a pleasant surprise, adding some spark to the otherwise slow-moving plot.

The real letdown, however, is the ending. Not only does it fail to explain how the heist was executed, but it also leaves numerous questions unanswered, riddled with loopholes that weaken the story’s impact. It feels as though crucial pieces of the puzzle are missing, leaving viewers unsatisfied.

With a more polished and well-resolved conclusion, this movie could have been a standout heist thriller. Unfortunately, the unresolved ending diminishes what could have been a gripping experience. A missed opportunity for an otherwise promising concept.
