Made in Heaven Season 2

It’s a story about two friends, their lives, their struggles, and their determination to stand up to the world despite innumerable obstacles in their lives. The second season was as good as the first one. The direction was on point. The acting of the protagonists, Sobhita Dhulipala (Tara Khanna) and Arjun Mathur (Karan Mehra) was praise-worthy.  The backdrop of weddings gave us some beautiful glimpses of nature and aesthetics, one of the many things that remind us not to forget it to be a series by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar.

The best thing about the series is its story that is woven into the life story of the two best friends. Every episode shows a different perspective and mindset of the society, be it about inter-status marriage, inter-caste marriage, or even same-sex marriage. It not only preaches to us but also shows us a way how to be strong and accept the changing scenario of today’s world.

The emotions shown by the protagonists, Karan and Tara, are quite relatable. This season also introduced some new characters to the team, Mona Singh as Bulbul Jauhari, Trinetra Haldar as Meher Chaudhry, and Nirvana Sawhney as Gauri Khanna. Never for a second do we feel that the new additions were a bad idea. On the contrary, the story became even more interesting and binge-worthy because of their individual stories.

Like the previous season, this season also ended on a note that was not a cliffhanger. But just like the last season, once the end credits roll, we wish the story to keep continuing for at least one more episode.

With amazing editing and an apt background score, each episode gave us a feeling of cathartic relief. Witnessing wonderful new actors in each episode was interesting and intriguing. Giving this story of best friends, having each other’s back no matter what, a 5-star rating. It took us four years to get season 2. Can’t wait for the next season.

  1. It also showcased domestic violence and complex relationships…and highlighted the crux of life at the end… All we need are good friends and some huge amount of money to soften the blow…. 😀
